We are an Oklahoma Non-Profit Corporation dedicated to the world of Gay Rodeo.

News/Events I wanted to bring all members up to date on the latest event which will have a direct impact on our upcoming Rodeo.   It was announced that the 2012 OKC Pride Parade was moved from the last Sunday in June to the weekend before our Rodeo on Memorial Day weekend.   It was discussed in our meetings this will have a significant impact on our Rodeo attendance and was met with resistance by the majority of our members. Our ticket sales are a major source of revenue to help offset the cost of the rodeo.   The OKC Pride Board members were aware of our concerns and were kind enough to meet with our Board members recently to discuss how to address the conflict between the two events.   They proposed to incorporate our Rodeo as part of Pride week. Unlike all previous Pride weeks – It will begin with the Parade followed by a week of Pride events and end with our Rodeo. They have generously provided OGRA with a booth during that week to sell Rodeo tickets and shirts. Along with the booth, they will promote the Rodeo on their web-site and Facebook page. We also discussed selling Rodeo tickets on-line along with on-line donations.   With all the additional promotion through Pride and selling advanced tickets on-line and at our booth at Pride week – We felt this will increase our Rodeo attendance and also introduce our organization to a demographic that is mostly unaware there is a Gay Rodeo – that is the 21+ age members of our community.   If you wish to voice your concerns regarding this new development – Please attend our next monthly meeting on February 5th at 2pm located at the Ledo in the Habana Inn complex.   Just one more thing – It’s time to renew memberships for 2012. I’ll have the apps and plenty of pens at our February meeting.
